Re: HCCM Gets "Another Playmaker"I'll go with what Stallion says over a caustic helicopter dad and a football recruiting guru from the Middle East.
Re: HCCM Gets "Another Playmaker"
What does where he is from have to do with anything?
Re: HCCM Gets
Aside from the obvious fact that they don't play football over there, you mean?
HCCM Gets "Another Playmaker"He only used that description to indicate to whom he was addressing his statement.

Re: HCCM Gets
meh not really.. he was indicating how he'd trust someone who's been around the board for a while and known for his vast knowledge over people like me and footballdad
Re: HCCM Gets
Vast confirmation bias you mean? 2 star with Army, Navy, and New Mexico offers would have been mocked as a typical June recruit not long ago. Congrats to him, sounds like a great kid, hope he turns into an all-league monster.
Re: HCCM Gets "Another Playmaker"
Yes really. His statement was what you say but his use of the Middle East reference was to whom he was addressing....you. All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
Re: HCCM Gets "Another Playmaker"could've used our screen names? he was obviously making an attempt to discredit what we posted. prolly used 'Middle East' since people there generally don't know what american football is.
Re: HCCM Gets "Another Playmaker"Max Klinger was very knowledgeable about football.

Re: HCCM Gets "Another Playmaker"Hmm, head not considered the irony of his using the award winning Jenner bravery to get out of combat.

Re: HCCM Gets
You're both right. I was using those descriptions to indicate you and football dad. And it really has nothing to do with where you are from or football dad's close relationship with a current player. I've just seen Stallion's opinions on recruiting play out over many, many years. He knows what he's talking about and he has earned the respect of anybody who has been around this board for a while.
Re: HCCM Gets "Another Playmaker"A guy who's 6'1" 220 before his Sr. year of HS can certainly grow into a prototypical LB in our scheme. His Hudl says he runs a 4.6 40, if he can keep his speed at 235-240 lbs we should be in good shape. We've got two other LBs in this class not recruited at the Star position- Jim-Lawson and Ward, who each had 5 FBS offers. I'm fine with taking a couple guys like this in each class - the problem was the 1-2 offer DITRs were the rule, not the exception, during the June era from 2012-2014

Re: HCCM Gets "Another Playmaker"For the record, I don't think he runs close to a 4.6 after watching his film. Maybe a 4.75, but supposedly he's matured physically an incredible amount since football season ended and had an outstanding performance as an LB at the OU and SMU camps. That'll work for me since there's no film of him playing LB to evaluate.

Re: HCCM Gets "Another Playmaker"I will take 6'2" 230 and 4.6-4.7 40 at ILB all day long. Someone remind me who we've had with that combo of size and speed in last 20 years. Go ahead I'll be waiting.
I'm not saying this guy is [deleted] Butkus but let's just keep it real here.
