6'3, 250, 4.70 electronic 40yd, 33" vertical (1997). Those were my measurements. I only respond because I didn't want you to be waiting too long. Or even better. Jason Evans: 6'4, 300, 4.55 electronic 40yd (1997). I could go on from there (Craig Swann, Karon Riley, Mercury Hall, Chris Bordano and more recently--Margus Hunt) but I think I've made my point. We were bad under Rossley but he recruited some good athletes when we were in the SWC. Some of you haven't been around long enough to remember the type of athlete we used to recruit. DMN referred to me as the "sleeper" in my class and I chose SMU over Tech, Baylor, Ok. State, Missouri and Air Force. My problem is I never woke up.

Yes, I meant AFTER Rossley. Hunt ran a 4.6-4.7?!? Ok, I could see that but he's a freak. I remember all those Rossley guys well (those were the years I was there also). I just don't remember any in the last 15-20 years.

So you sighted someone who is arguably our best post-DP player to compare with someone I'm simply trying to point out isn't a waste of a scholly as some seem to think.

Nick Horton, current roster, only have to go back 2 years. Although straight line speed doesn't mean agility, or the ability to tackle well.

Yep, I'm really hoping he can live up to his measurements. He certainly looks the part.

How about Taylor Thompson: 6'6", 250 lbs and a 4.4 forty out of high school.
