I hate to say but.... there will be NO students at the game. I know there are too few already, but expect the worst. Its a shame too- I was hoping some clever students would steal the miner pick.
go smu.

I also like that idea of gathering around the stadium entrance and pumping the players up before the run onto the field, and then all going together to a section in the middle of the field.

Well I have season tickets in 104 on the 50 and I can vouch that my row and most of the rows around me are nearly empty most games. The seats that are filled are with the few season ticket holders we have. So I would say the more the merrier.

Also, what if a big crowd gathered above and around the ramp where they come out, and shout out encouragement to individual players?

Cannons maybe....we used to have one until the old SWC prohibited
them.

Nothing like hand signals and large guns shooting blanks to remind me how much I missed the old SWC.

Maybe we can get Baby Doll's or Million Dollar Saloon or one of the many strip clubs to sponsor a special Mike Price section and provide us with some signs and t-shirts. Where is our enterprising SMU athletic marketing department when we need them.

No Cover after the game if you tell them that you know Mike Price.

Instead of a men's club, how about Hooters or a more family-oriented place like that? There are going to be some kids there. After the TCU game, my sister and her family were walking to their car (they'd parked behind Dallas Hall). My 6-yr-old-nephew picked up a postcard size piece of cardboard up off the ground around the area of the Main Quad, handed it to my sister and asked her what it said. She looked at it, and it was a picture of a woman wearing only a g-string (it was an ad for the Men's Club or somesuch place), and she told him it wasn't anything important. Thank goodness it was dark and he couldn't really see what it was; he'll learn too soon about neked women. I know y'all will give me sh#t about this, but one still needs to watch out for the kids.

Maybe we can have the following person be an honorary captain and call the coin flip:

Think how great it would be if she was right behind the UTEP bench and calling Price's name all night.

No no no, don't mention that university, we have been without them for months and it has been wonderful.

All I did was ask a question. . . a simple yes or no would have sufficed. I'll edit my prior message just for you, smupony94.

I think the band gets fairly loud during the games, but I could be wrong. All this mustering of support for the Mustangs is seriously great. Whether it actually happens or not is another story.

As far as I know, the band is going to be moved over to practically behind the visitor's side. Basically, we're moving left about 2 or 3 sections, so we're not in the Pit of Despair, otherwise known as the far corner of Ford.

If you want a drum to beat on and start chants, just listen to us. Depending what mood I'm in, we'll either play a whole lot or be super duper full of turkey that it might be near impossible to move.

But I'm enjoying all this rallying of the forces. If I could be there to scream and yell with you guys, I would. But I'll be decked out with the band banging away as always.

Beat the hell out of UTEP!

I have the panoramic view of Ford at the opening game vs. Kansas mounted in a room in my house. It looks like the band is farther over to its left at that game. Anyone remember where the band originally was seated?
