Re: Another commit - OLB Jimlawson
I agree with you and that thought was also suggested on Twitter. Grosbard replied that "nothing that has become public yet at least."
Re: Another commit - OLB Jimlawsonon positive note-our percentage of commits with P5 offers just hit 62%

Re: Another commit - OLB JimlawsonAnd if we get a substitute that is currently committed to a P5 school, we may hit your 65% possibly. Still not counting Omotosho, Fitz and a few others.
Re: Another commit - OLB JimlawsonNot talking about JimLawson because I don't know reason for decommitment (although he did hurt a knee and played only 4 games last year) BUT
This is going to be a wild year in recruiting with a lot of mysterious decommitments and good recruits getting slow played. There are a bunch of recruits out there that know that it is 100% IMPOSSIBLE for them to qualify to be eligible to play in 2016 no matter how many stars they have. A kid must have 10 NCAA required core classes completed out of the required 16 by the start of their Senior season (in other words today) and they can't go back and retake those core classes to improve their required 2.3 GPA to be eligible (+ sliding scale SAT/ACT) I'll be real interested to see if schools back off from kids that can't meet the new standards. There are already several 3 stars that have already gone MIA in recruiting and I'd suspect they are in serious jeopardy. So keep that in mind when kids start jumping all over the place this recruiting season. It may be tha they are headed for JUCOs or mandatory freshman academic redshirt. Many schools may prefer a kid that is fully eligible in 2016 Last edited by Stallion on Fri Jul 31, 2015 3:10 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Re: Another commit - OLB Jimlawson
almost every recruit we are still after has P5 offers. I'm thinking about the Top 12 guys still presently on our board-all 12 of them. "With a quarter of a tank of gas, we can get everything we need right here in DFW." -SMU Head Coach Chad Morris
