Yes, a superstar returned to Moody last night.
The DRUMMIN' COWBOY was in attendance, showing the world that his skills have not diminished since his graduation so many .... months ago.
One complaint: replacing the Cowboy hat with academic-looking glasses is unacceptable. Dust off the hat and go nuts at Sunday's game.

The drumming cowboy was back, but now as an alum. I suggested last night that he needs to get a fedora to replace the cowboy hat that he no longer owns.
Alums should show class.
Just send 'da money.

Are you trying to pass him off as a member of the MOB? If you want to classy him up, give him a bowler and a bow-tie
The donkey's name is Kiki.
On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney?

Well, I'm a teacher. I need glasses to look smart. I also need glasses to SEE.
Now, the hat. I gave it to the former band director when I graduated because he consistently tried to steal it anyways. I didn't need it anymore, and I figured he'd get a laugh out of it.
I would replace the cowboy hat with a different one, BUT all of my "classy" hats wouldn't work because I'd have to find some way of putting an SMU something on it. And I like my "classy" hats too much to do that.
Also, I'll be here off and on throughout the year. I'll mainly do alum games, but I know they will need me for other games as well.
Thanks for the consideration and thoughts though!
PS: Fedoras suck.

abezontar,
I believe we're now up to octuplet drums, or "octos" for short. They are about 12 feet wide, and counterbalanced on the back with a 75lb lead block. Because of the sheer size, the player can act independently as his/her own squad.
I can't wait till the new Pearl "Deca" drums come out, or "TENors" as the kids are calling them.
JK, take care drummingcowboy/barbaraann! Beat the crap out of a) those drums 2) UTEP and d) lazy people!
From high on the hilltop, in Big D...

The Cowboy needs to sneak on to the field like that kid did against Nevada last year, only instead of ripping off a helmet and standing around in a stupor, he needs to play his drum in the UTEP huddle to mess up their communication.

I might get ejected. And I'm all against getting ejected at the moment.
If I am going to get kicked out, it's because I run onto the field and tackle a ref...
