Sorry, I meant Gaines.

Can anyone report on how the O and D lines looked? Do we have any size or aggressiveness this year?

O Line is not very tall compared to a P5 team like Baylor. As far as performance goes no one will truly know until kick off. Go Mustangs.

people focus on Baylor skill positions but this Baylor team may be among the very best in the Country at both Offensive and Defensive Lines-just about everybody back. Tall order for SMU this year

Briggs 6-6, 300
McCarty 6-3, 285
Laseki 6-2, 304
Brown 6-3, 306
Weeks 6-5, 295

That isn't a midget line... smaller than the standard line from a weight perspective, but not height.

Stallion is right though - probably the best 0-line and d-line we will see all season. Any players who are able to hold their own are going to be above average when we get into conference play. I'm going to keep my eyes on Weeks, Brown, McCarty, Gentry, and Lawler in particular because those guys are going to have to perform in conference.

Spoke with a very credible season ticket holder the other day that stood next to Brown and said that it was no way that he was 6-3. He also stood next to Hyder and said that was not that tall either so the heights printed may not all be correct. That same season ticker holder who is familiar with other P5 teams said that we were not very tall and it will be very noticeable when Baylor comes on the field.

Best thing about our O-lineman, is they have gotten stronger and lost fat. Anyone that has been around our players at Kick-Off Luncheons or whatever...knows that most of our listed heights; are merely suggestions. 8)

Good point. I guess come to think of it Lasecki might not be 6'2 either.

Some of the Baylor player's stats are inflated too most likely.
