It was no coincidence. We punt on 4th and short play after he came out.. TD Baylor. Punt next series on 4th and short with Colbert in there. BAYLOR TD.
Once that happened the winds were clearly in Baylor sails and we punt next two series again on 4th and shorts with Davis in the game. The white flag had already gone up and it all started with DaviS going out. Two more quick tds after those punts.
My mistake I forgot about the second colbert series.I do think that morris should have definitely started going for a couple of those 4th and shorts
I agree, another poster said Morris lacked the balls to keep going for it. I disagree, I think you have to have balls or a little stupidity to continually punt to Baylor on 4th and shorts, when you know what they are gonna do to your defense. I believe he showed his offense that he had confidence in them early in game when they were going for 4th downs, and maybe he was attempting to show some confidence in his defense. If THAT was the case, it definitely backfired.

I admit I was one of those that questioned whether he could be the man after last year. However, now I realize it was more that he was a square peg in June June's round offense than Matt not being a D1 QB. I underestimated how good he could be in this offense.

McCarty is a big loss. No, he's not Larry Allen, but the line is super-thin. We're not in a position to lose anyone, especially someone who has had reps with the first team.
