Our quarterbacks didn't end most plays this year looking up at the pretty clouds. Whatever they did, the line is improved and giving us a chance.

TE and fullback was the major (massive) difference. That along with Baylor not blitzing near as much as last year. Also by Baylor not having Oakman nor the kid that is serving time on their defensive line it gave our kids confidence against them.

plus you got a TE, an occasional H-Back, fullback or 2 backs to make the numbers better-but I did think they showed great improvement. Play action and the counteraction plays from multiple players in the backfield slows the rush too. The Run N Shoot was always unstable-the bet is they can unload a pass in 3-4 seconds before the DLM unload on the QB. If the Run N Shoot QB doesn't release the ball in 4 seconds-there are going to be sacks

Or if you have 5 400 lb Polynesians that can allow you to hold the ball for 7 seconds, that works too .

that only worked in the WAC Lite against a powder-puff schedule-it didn't work against Alabama in the Sugar Bowl. Hawaii was one of the least competitive BCS Bowl teams ever. It never worked at SMU when they were playing a strong defense, The Run N Shoot is unstable-on any play a defense can bring more defenders than there are blockers to block them
