I think we're a lot closer than that to having a team that can compete and win against many P-5 programs. Remember, we played the no. 4 team in the country last night. Definitely the upper echelon of P-5.

Now at the rate Chad and Co. appear to be progressing right now, this team could be very, very good 3 recruiting classes from now. I hope they can keep the momentum going.

The #4 ranked team in the country without their top 2 defensive players a well as other dstractions. Our team was well prepared and well coached as well as being on an emotional high. I just want to see how the team does against North Texas. 3 recruiting classes away from challenging to go to a P5 bowl game.

While I do think there are a lot of whiny [deleted] on here...you have to remember that Baylor destroyed us last year and we went 1-11. We played outstanding in the 1st half and ran out of juice in the 2nd, but they came in thinking it was going to be powder-puff and it took halftime and probably a verbal beating for them to get the shock out of their game. We did great, and are definitely within 1-2 classes of being top G5 game level, but need more to be looking as a perennial top program.

Then again...we are a 1-11 historically terrible team discussing competing at the top level, so.....the future is near!
