Re: Band / Student Section
Stop. And please bear with me as I've had a few scotches tonight. SMU played in Texas Stadium. In Irving. Not a college stadium. Before/After that, Ownby was a nightmare from what I heard. This school has never had a good team pared with a good stadium on campus. I don't want to hear any more comparisons from people in the 1970's and 1980's. The situations are not the same. Simple as that. Maybe time will prove me wrong, but I certainly hope not. I had the time of my life Friday night even though we lost. Surely we can make that contagious. And yes, the band has got to be moved. That was a horrible position for them.
Re: Band / Student SectionI agree and 30k to Irving stadium is actually not a bad turnout from a small private school. In fact that is what TCU more or less brings today vs LSU or other big teams in Jerryworld. It's different now and I think it will take a culture change but Chad Morris impressed a lot of people and I had many friends not affiliated with former swc/b12 say they want to score tickets to see us play this season. That is how we build fans, by attracting the UTD, UD, UTA, NTSU, Stephen F you name it to come be fans of a really good football team just like I see even TCU fans be the biggest SMU hoops fans.

Don't be [deleted] him. A 1:2 original ideas to posts ratio qualifies him for the UNT honors program.
Re: Band / Student Section
No doubt. It appeared to me that Baylor didn't even bring their whole band. I'm sure UNT will. SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
Re: Band / Student SectionBTW PK. Who was the young lady you pointed out to me at halftime?
All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
Re: Band / Student SectionThat was Miss (mrs?) Campisi I believe, wearing that hot red dress.
Long live Inez Perez!
