SID - Game Presentation

Postby SmooBoy » Sun Sep 06, 2015 6:55 pm

I very much liked the overall presentation with the video board, PA announcer, cheer team, and coin toss. While I won't go into the location of the band (as the other thread is covering that), the main reason we could not hear the band in section 107 (or anything else for that matter) was because the speakers sitting field level aimed up were projecting the PA guy and 'music' at BLEEDING EARS DECIBEL LEVELS. Almost everyone in the first several rows of 107 had at least one ear covered any time anything came over the PA. The volume needs to be turned WAY down for the next game, or position the speakers so they are not two feet from us, or, better yet, do away with them. I thought the volume from the scoreboard was always sufficient.

Finally, as in past years, I would love to hear much more band, and less piped in music.

I think some of the audio we pump in is just terrible quality. Dance team music sounds like they dubbed a mixtape on their cassette recorder.

The 'mix' may pump up the team, but it does very little for the rest of the stadium.

And no one has mentioned the absence of the Mini-Mustang Cheerleaders. :)

This alone made it the best game presentation in years.

Then I am going to start complaining about next week's game presentation now if they are going to be back.
