hard to argue against the SEC as the best football conference (in terms of top to bottom strength) but unless they schedule and beat quality teams in non-conference play, having 10 of the top 25 is a stretch. I know Spurrier has been critical of others' schedules as SC plays UNC, Clemson & UCF (along with the one token "in-state" revenue game against FCS opponent Citadel). I don't put a lot of stock in top 25 programs beating lower level FCS programs by wide margins

Hard to disagree with that at this point. Someone has to start beating SEC teams (not named Vanderbilt) on a regular basis for this to change.

The SEC always has a bunch of teams that rank in the top 25 in recruiting. It makes sense.

if they didn't beat each other up every year they'd have at least 8 in the Top 25 every year-I don't have a problem-among the lowest ranked teams -not sure about Missouri but A&M earned it, Miss St. was no. 1 late last season LSU almost always a Top 25. Heck Missouri has won the SEC West twice

Everyone has been slurping OU saying they're a bounce back team and possible contender in the Big 12. They better show up in Neyland Stadium on Saturday, that's a much better UT team then they saw last year in Norman with Dobbs at QB

SEC was garbage in bowl games last year. I guess they just cant get excited about playing non SEC teams since they are just so much better.
