Guaranteed win

McCartney will have an actual headache after every game as he is reportedly drunk during every game.....he fell off the wagon after he got to UNT...was alcohol free at THE Ohio State when they won the NC and he was the DC, but he is back on the bottle at UNT. During senior night last year, an assistant coach had to announce the names for the players and their families because McCartney couldn't remember all their names. Also got into a real nasty situation with the S and C coach during a home game where it took 3 coaches to pull him off beating McCartney up as he said some very personal things. Watch this situation play out---

Not sure how much credence you can put into any of this when you get some facts wrong. He was never at Ohio State; he won the NC with Urban at Florida.

He does however prefer Grey Goose.

My bad...I was close... I knew it was Urban Meyer....

Outside opinion on this one:

1- SMU didn't have Davis or Morris last year so the offense should do MUCH better.

2- SMU's Defensive scheme should fit better against UNT with not only their line being asked to attack but also with how aggressive Malone was in coverage with frequent single coverage. That tactic would make their QB have to beat you whereas last year the run did it.

3- Turnovers blew that open, UNT benefited from FIVE.

4- Plenty of reasons for long-term optimism with the O but BU also missed 22 tackles in that first half while also having a busted assignment on the first TD bomb. Don't be surprised if the offense isn't as smooth as many on here predict as a result.

Pulling for the Ponies in this one!

So we can't expect busted assignments and missed tackles from a team with lesser defensive talent playing in its first game of the season?

I said don't be surprised, not that they wouldn't make mistakes too. Most weeks the other team isn't going to miss that many in one half.
