For those asking why we scheduled them to a 10 year home and home, that's why. No other non-P5 team is going to draw that well at Ford until Chad really gets this thing rolling.

Right I say we keep them on the schedule until we can find another non-P5 that can attract 20,000 or our fans gets the balls to want to schedule our traditional rivals

One of the other-I know many of you are counting on a Toilet Bowl Bid so this seems like a fair compromise

Fans from ntsu claim 60/40 in their favor, what say you?

Daughters friend from UNT stating same thing. Don't think they are very good at estimating though. It was clearly a larger SMU crowd.

On nice weather days, as many of our games are, is it possible to remove the glass?

Also, would be nice to center the students and band to break up the visitor section a little.

Not true, SMU had an okay showing. I think it was around 18-19k SMU fans to 6-7k ntsu.

I think NTSU fans should stop trying to count anything beyond their 10 fingers and toes; those bigger numbers just get too confusing for them. Granted they came with decent numbers, but subtract the band and it really wasn't anything to get excited about. 60%? Please

No way...but maybe with math skills like that, it explains why they are at ntsu...

Bottom line is as long as we are scheduling teams only because they travel well means we are still failing. We have to get to the point where 32,000-35,000 people show up to see SMU play regardless of the opponent. I know that will take time considering where we are coming from but that has to be the endgame if we have P5 dreams.

Some people wonder why SMU should try to appeal to everyone, it because relying on SMU alums to fill the stadium isn't ever going to work. It hasn't for 30 years since the DP and it won't moving forward. TCU figured this out, I believe Patterson was the driving force behind the culture change, and they now embrace FW. Until SMU does the same (and I'm talking about SMU alums), we're fighting a losing battle.

SMU had more fans by far. Unfortunately that was on the boulevard and remained that way well into the first quarter. I would estimate 55-45 smu in Ford but there was much more green in the stands than red or blue which is due to some smuers not wearing their school colors. Should play NT every year because of the closeness saving on travel costs and pretty good sized crowds which should only improve as the programs do. Get off your high horse and back to reality....this isn't 1945.

it wasn't even close to 55-45 SMU - it was at least 65% SMU. THey had a nice crowd but lets not be silly.

Given the pre game chest thumping and warnings their crowd sucked asz. About half what Houston brings.

If this program keeps going the the right direction the amount of UNT fans that go to the game will dramatically decline over the years. But hopefully those will be replaced with SMU fans. SMU will be an even better team next year, UNT might get a new HC but will probably just stick to a mediocre slump regardless. How many UNT fans are going to get excited for 2017 in Dallas, after being beat even worse at home in 2016 than in this game? Although on their board they did commend the boulevard experience.
