Interesting article on Mike Leach's Buyout

Apparently WSU is growing impatient with The Pirate. Granted, they won yesterday at Rutgers, but after losing to Portland State they have become more vocal.

Also, the article states the WSU athletic department is $13M in the hole. Now, we all know that this is probably an exaggeration, but still, that's a big number.

Based on the comments its good to see how much of a jerk WSU fans finally realize that [deleted] is

I tend to believe Leach is going to become the JJ of his generation. An offensive innovator who everybody else copies and coaches learn how to beat X's and O's wise and whose personality begins to be viewed as a jerk rather than an eccentric genius.

Leach was better when he had access to Texas high school talent.

I remember Leach running up the score on Phil Bennett's team. PB wanted to pound Leach into the dirt. since then, not a Leach fan.

they are screwed

the contract had an auto rollover for an additional year that kicked in at the end of the second season and after their "big" bowl game (the one where mike showed he is still a total and complete coaching buffoon by losing the game with stupid clock management) in the second season it was allowed to roll over so after this season they would owe mike for 4 more seasons

and the worst part is they are going to have to pull the "decline to renew" card this year and we all know what kind of a baby mike becomes when he can't get what he wants in a contract and financially.....he will spend the next season or two (how ever many more they keep him)) destroying the program from all angles and dividing the fan base

the only thing worse than him sucking for the next two seasons after this one and getting fired with two years left is if he has a good season next year or the year after and suddenly WSU feels they might not want to fire him.....that is when he really divides the fans and make stupid high demands that will never be met while he goes out job shopping for any and all available offers even if they pay half as much and are at a total dumpster fire program

he is coaching rectal cancer

That sounds familiar.

doesn't care who wins.
