Those schools were once hated rivals in the A-10 (albeit on the hardwood). Those of us who are old enough to have followed that rivalry remember the Calapari vs Chaney post-game confrontation during media sessions. I expect Temple to handle them easily, but bad blood counts for something.

SMU needs to look respectable vs tCU and put 60 on JMU

What are you smoking? You say Cinci sucks and think we can put 60 on JMU? I would likely take JMU over UNT and we weren't overly impressive on Saturday. Let's slow the roll and keep things in perspective here!

Yeah man Cincinnati sucks. And I don't care how "good" JMU is, they are FCS and SMU needs to show offensive discipline and put as many points as they can. Rewatch the UNT game, the offense moved the ball with ease, and I expect that to get better moving forward.

JMU is a program that is used to winning and has knocked off some major programs in the past. We are not at a place where we can show up and beat anybody. If we turn it over four times like we did against NTSU we will lose to JMU. That said, I fully expect to see a much better team in week four than we saw in week two. Ponies should win, but a close game or a loss is not out of the realm of possibility whatsoever.
Back off Warchild seriously.

Well said. I just think we pull it in big in a well executed game.

But seriously, they're good. Very good. Matt rhule knows what he's doing.

Why did they give up so many yards to Cincy? Why did they only win by 8 despite Cincy throwing 4 INTs? Why did their offense not even hit the 300 yard mark?

They are good but not top 20 good.

After we went up 31-12, we went into prevent defense, and Cincy dinked and dunked us to death. It was a terrible decision by our HC/DC. Too many snaps where we only rushed 3, dropped our LBs and safeties back and the DBs gave 8+ yard cushions for Cincy's WRs.

As far as the offense goes, after going up 31-12, we had 9 straight run plays until our last throw of the game. After that, we ran 5 run plays culminating with our RB fumbling the ball. If he doesn't fumble the ball, we continue to run out the clock. We went extremely conservative and played not to lose by only throwing once the entire 4th Q. I didn't agree with it.

Our guys better respect this opponent; currently ranked #10 in FCS. Was Northwestern State ranked when they beat TCU?
