I just hope we can put up some points on their defense, now that several starters are out. However, I don't see how our defense comes anywhere close to stopping their offense. I see a Baylor-like final score: 59-20 or something

That sounds about right to me. . .or perhaps a bit worse (maybe we only score 7 or 14). The TCU injuries will be serious for them in conference play, but not against SMU.

Linebacker depth is scary but it's a relatively low overhead position in their scheme. They got by in 2012 with some pretty average athletes there because the other 9 were really good.

To me the injury to Iloka is the bigger injury so far. WS can be isolated in coverage and losing the top two off last year's team hurts.

NT would be the biggest but he's coming back.

At DE they rotate several so losing 1-2 hurts less than it otherwise would. TCU also plays them wide so you don't need Goliath lining up for you against the run. Caraway & Lathan will be good starters and TCU recruits tons of their DE type guys for depth.

TCU should still be very good but Pierson is key IMO going forward if this injury bug is going to hurt.

Pretty much spot on. The back up to Iloka is a walk-on and looked shaky to put it kindly. Maybe jitters. Good athletes on scholarship behind him but I guess the walk-on just knows the system better.

Losing McFarland for the year hurts alot. Best pass rusher from last year.

Preseason goal was CFP. Not sure that is feasible now with all the injuries. Should win a bunch of games and challenge for the conf title again.

Agree that the Iloka really hurts TCU.

Seems like every year leading up to our game with TCU, they have 15 starters that are near the grave or suspended. Then for SMU week, they get a miracle cure and the suspended players, suddenly find Jesus. 8)

Morris said today that Weeks should be back. That would be nice.

Yeah, that was great to hear! I'm eager to see if our D can stop them at all. Our secondary wasn't very competitive against Baylor... we turned around in the UNT game but this weekend we find out if that is because of coaching or the competition.

Tackling was vastly improved.

You mean the MYTHICAL conference title, when it comes to the Big12.

yeah - out secondary didn't "turn around" vs UNT. They were playing UNT receivers and had a really not so good QB throwing (or not throwing as the case may be) the ball. Also UNT was away and TCU will be home.

We can stop worrying about the injury list. That is fools gold. The gap is too big for the next few years. It will tighten, but not by Sat.

Mythical? The trophy feels real. "Big 12 Champions". Not much Mythical about that. The trophy ceremony seemed real as well. Tearing apart Ole Miss seemed legit. Finishing Top 5 in the Nation again... Different conference same results...

Not discrediting your accomplishments, but you have to admit, if the shoe was on the other foot and you won 61-58 and 8-1 baylor was the "co-champ" you might be singing a different tune.
