I do know one thing. Our white uniforms with the white helmet are going to look so much better than whatever TCU is wearing.

That will look good with the White-Out that TCU has scheduled for this game as well...

Oh yeah I forgot we paid for that
Yeah, we crowd funded before crowd funding was cool. I do remember someone suggested kickstarter, but it had just started.
The result was worth the effort, despite the pom squad being out of sync.

I'm just a pesky old critic go Mustangs
Re: Official: SMU vs. TCU Thread
Anyone know if SMU is incorporating more of this into Dallas and surrounding areas? That video rocked when it was released and just wondering if similar tactics are being used now.

That 2011 game was one of my favorite undergrad experiences. Darius was unstoppable and Jeremy Johnson filled in huge for Beasley. When tcu dropped that fourth down I jumped down on the field and hugged JJ right after the coaches handshake (he was still cool then). I couldn't believe we were able to get on the field. We should have won at least 9 games that year, the Tulsa game was unacceptable.

Pretty sure it was 2012 and lost by less than 10. Was my second game in a suite - came in handy that game.

Why You Need To Care
It’s the ‘Battle for the Iron Skillet’, as local rivals TCU and SMU renew a series that began 100 years ago. The third-ranked Horned Frogs will be on display every weekend, especially since a growing number of critics feel that they might be a little too high in the polls. Remember, this is the team that was almost picked off by Minnesota in the opener. The Mustangs are coming along slowly for rookie head coach Chad Morris, rallying to defeat North Texas, 31-13, last Saturday.
Why SMU Will Win
Morris has a young quarterback, Texas A&M transfer Matt Davis, he believes he can build an offense around. Davis is an exciting dual-threat who accounted for all four touchdowns in the Mean Green win, and has helped unlock the potential of freshmen playmakers Xavier Jones and Courtland Sutton. The TCU defense is salty, but it’s also been depleted by injuries and unexpected departures.
Why TCU Will Win
Progress, sure. But SMU has a long way to go, particularly on defense. In their other game against a Big 12 opponent, the Mustangs yielded 723 yards and 56 points to Baylor. This weekend could look like a sequel, since Baylor-caliber skill talent surrounds QB Trevone Boykin. SMU lacks the talent and size to stifle an offense that has so many playmakers, such as RB Aaron Green and receivers Josh Doctson and Kolby Listenbee.
Player Who Matters
The Horned Frogs are putting out APBs for stoppers, especially since both projected starting linebackers are no longer available. The newcomers to the lineup, Ty Summers and Montrel Wilson, are rookies, but safeties Derrick Kindred, Denzel Johnson and Travin Howard play with a linebacker’s mindset. And they’ll be asked to spy Davis throughout the game.
What’s Going To Happen?
SMU is heading in the right direction, but TCU is too tall of an order at this point. The Frogs will bottle up the scrambling ability of Davis, forcing him to throw more than he’d like. Meanwhile, on offense, Boykin & Co. will spread the ball around on an overmatched Mustang D. The Frogs will roll, but the Mustangs will show better than in recent meetings.
SMU vs. TCU Prediction
Prediction: TCU 52, SMU 17, Line: SMU -37 , o/u: 67

It was the high water mark of the June era. I think we all felt like the program was headed for greater things. I can remember getting texts/calls from friends for the next two weeks about beating TCU and how we looked like our trajectory was better than theirs. The subsequent fallout afterwards will go down as one of the great "what if" moments in SMU history. What if we had shown some backbone and fired June after ASU? Honestly, despite everything, if we get left out of P5 it will be b/c we were spineless in how we handled ASU-gate. The program went into a ditch that will take several years to get out of. Thankfully, it looks like we have some time and the right man in charge.
Back off Warchild seriously.
