The Rutgers athletic department is a dumpster fire. The football coach has lost how many players to suspension and outright arrest? the basketball team got hammered last year in Big Ten play, the AD has been accused in the past of abusing her players when she was a volleyball coach, and even she had to apologize to Penn State for their fans behavior at their game last year.

Congrats Big Ten. You've married the college athletic version of 'Snookie.'

Their hoops facilities are also atrocious and last year Hermann told a number of boosters that they were going to remain atrocious for at least the next decade.

So the next time someone says realignment either makes sense or is based on merit, your answer should be "Rutgers."

Rutgers is a total joke.

I still don't know what the Big 10 was thinking. I always laugh when I see the Big 10 ads during a game at Yankee Stadium or Shea (whatever it is called now). Like anybody gives a [deleted].

A football teams most valuable asset, its only asset, is its players. I give the guy credit for taking care of his assets. His method is dubious to be sure. Programs that succeed take care f their players.

In the last 2 weeks Rutgers has 17 football players either suspended or injured.
