And while hitting a billion is a big deal, it's been done before elsewhere AND we were supposed to do that anyway with this new campaign. If the "Big Announcement" is that we hit our intended goal, that seems anticlimactic.

Do believe it's a dual announcement:

1). Hit $1B

2). In honor of the above, SMU announces R. Gerald and Gail Turner Pavilions complete with waterworks to be constructed in front of every single structure in excess of 2,000 SF on the entire campus that does not currently have one. To be identified as: RGT Pavilion 1SW, 7NE, 3SE, etc. Number then campus quadrant system.

Auburn started a billion in 2012 and is 83% done.

Let's go USC, Harvard or Stanford and shoot for $6 or $6,500,000,000.

USC started in 2011 and has 4.6 right now, Harvard started in 2011 and I believe has 6 already. That's impressive.
