The game might be close, it might not be close. It's irrelevant whether you stand by his post or not, that's not what I am saying. Fact is he was a hard core Jones supporter and thought he recruited well. If the recruited as he says and a mediocre Maryland beat them badly last year you would think he would have more confidence in the team.
You are embarrassing yourself. Stop digging. He did not say anything other than that it will be a tough game which others on this post said as well.

Just making the point that this will likely be close and that we shouldn't be getting ahead of ourselves...remember Jacksonville State at Auburn and Sam Houston at Tech. The "expectations" three weeks ago in Auburn and in Lubbock were also about clearing the bench and getting the backup quarterback some quality playing time. That is a mindset that often leads to upsets. Top 10 FCS teams are a challenge, and we need to be ready to play.

Usually close games by FCS teams are generally the first week of the season. Every once a while they are on the second week. But by the fourth week the FBS teams should have the kinks worked out and be playing on the level in which they truly are. That is why I think Hart scheduled JMU on he third week of the season to avoid that situation. We'll see. But as far as having a team ready to play that would be the last thing I would worry about in a Chad Morris coached team. So that will not be an issue. One thing I think we can all agree on regardless of the outcome is the he will have this team prepared and ready.

Right fourth week, that's even better for us. Overall team talent might be an issue but not preparedness or readiness. Not under Coach Morris.

Win this game as the start of an overall winning record this season. Chad Morris has a chance, although the initial predictions were mostly different (and many still are) to join Russell, Smith, and Collins as post World War II coaches at SMU with winning records in their first year.

I think the game will be competitive, but believe SMU will pull away in the late 3rd/4th. I'm really watching the defense to see if our secondary can improve. Week to week improvements there, IMO, will be the difference between us sneaking into a bowl game or not.

Right turn, Clyde.

His brother was my Biology teacher in high school. He was quite bitter about what befell his brother. I expect to see #PonyUpTempo at full gallop this week.

I want to see JJ's recruits show their worth and bring home a big W. We can't make mistakes like we did against UNT, and we need to play the whole game with energy which we failed to do against Baylor.
