Dumb post about attendance as there was a good crowd and they showed well on National TV. And we are the last ones to complain about someone else's attendance woe's. It was a good game to watch as the starting Cinci QB went down and his replacement came in and threw for over 500 yards. A good win for Memphis to go to 4-0 for the first time since 1961! Academics will be a problem for Memphis, but West Virgina isn't much better.

WVU is a much better package than Memphis both from an athletic and academic perspective.
Back off Warchild seriously.

WVU isn't much better than Memphis. They are both terrible scholastically.

Memphis would deliver a better market than WVU for sure - but Cinn would deliver an even better one.

Per Nielsen, Cincy market has 876k, Memphis 656k, and Charleston/Huntington 441K plus Wheeling 131k. Lubbock has 158k by comparison.

Dallas has 2.6 million. While SMU shares the market with TCU and has a strong UT, aTm, etc. fan base; Memphis shares its market with Ole Miss and Arky State and has a huge SEC fan base. Cincy shares its fan base with OH State, KY, Louisville, and some of the MAC.

All things considered, SMU competes pretty well in terms of TV market. Plus, it has plenty of upside whereas Memphis and Cincy have a ceiling.

Delusional post Dutch. Watching that game in the 4th quarter the place looked nearly full and was rocking to a great game.

They keep this up they might be the new ECU (good football, good attendance and no chance in hell of getting into a P5 conference).
They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security
