Re: Reading NCAA ReportCan we proactively sue in the Minneapolis court that the NFLPA has used before, or where the prior NCAA student financial rights course what tried?
Re: Reading NCAA Report
If true, you got that right. Although I would not put it past the NCAA to issue some sort of special unconditional release for anyone wishing to transfer.....just in this case....just because it is SMU.
Re: Reading NCAA Report
Apparently the NCAA does not believe that. Beat the hell out of anybody!
Re: Reading NCAA Report
that's nice and all, but do they have proof otherwise?
Re: Reading NCAA ReportIf the NCAA wants someone to be an example, let them pick on a P5 school, like UNC or some SEC school (pick any). The "U", Ohio State, and a few others really did as much or more than we did after we got the death penalty and they got a finger wagged at them. But again, they pick SMU for what amounts to a single infraction and then what a criminal lawyer calls add on counts. Essentially, you had one player and one course and two staffers involved (and of course the evil golf program booster). But it was all the same transaction. That's like accusing a guy of money laundering and tax fraud on the same transaction. And from that they spin themselves into this. The reason the NCAA doesn't have the sack to whack a P5 school is that they know that the P5's are itching for an excuse to leave the NCAA and start their own organization without rules. So, they whack the SMU's of the world and act like their are cleaning up the sport.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna
Re: Reading NCAA Report
