I'm not disgusted by SMU, but disappointed. When you give at certain levels you ask certain questions and are given certain answers.

Well then, why don't we all go be a fan of UK, Duke, UNC, Syracuse, Kansas, UCLA, Baylor, UT, TA&M where they always give the right answers :shock:

Something tells me that you underestimated the ability of the NCAA to absolutely screw SMU over. I believe this is the NCAA's way of laying a predicate down for future sanctions against UNC, the sanctions against SMU are abusive and don't fit the level of violations. Again, SMU getting screwed by NCAA either way.

Actually LA I think SMU owes an apology for its lack of oversight of the JJ dumpster fire, and as you know I have been labeled a June Supporter. Were we in olden times I would be recognizable by the "J" branded on my right cheek.

SMU knew Larry lied to the NCAA and they knew someone told an employee to take a course for KF. The sanctions may well be overly harsh and I think they punish all the wrong people but SMU engaged in the mother of all cash grabs while all this was going on. And they didn't do the right thing.

This is all (football and basketball) a failure by SMU to run their house properly. At least the players get a free education. This has cost the fans money.

And I don't mean to gloat but I effing called this when they hiked the ticket price.

Dude, are you mad at me? Just said I was disappointed in SMU. We all should be. There were major eff ups at several levels. Is the punishment excessive? Absolutely. We all know where we stand in the eyes of the NCAA. Let's fight this and expose them. But a 'sorry' wouldn't hurt.

abu you have had those ticket prices stuck in yoru saddle for over a year. Give it a rest. We are priced like similar programs. If it is worth it to you pay up, if not then don't and shut up about it you big whiner.

We cool? It's just that I absolutely loath the hypocrisy that is the NCAA and I want all afterburners on for them. No getting off topic, all eyes on the NCAA.
