not sure about Bensons final stats but he caught 3 passes in these highlites including a 10 yard TD-in La Vega's 53-9 victory over Alvarado. La Vega had 3 receivers go off in this game. I think OU commit Parish Cox had about 180 yards in receiving and the Muhammed kid had about 100. The first play at the link was actually highliting a block where Benson planted the CB and Parrish Cox ran right over the area vacated to take it to the house. That will make Morris smile too as WR blocking is a key to his offense Look for link for Benson

btw I'm not finding much on Brandon Benson but they are apparently starting a Sophomore QB who threw 4 Ints last week and had a very poor completion percentage

Fox High School Highlites had the Benson TD. Caught a contested 10 yard pass in traffic and turned it up for the 49 yard TD

Wow Benson really had a great game against Mexia-a good team. You really begin to see the potential with his size and strength in this video including his 49 yard TD catch/run. BUT I did not know he also played DB where he had 2 nice interceptions with nice runbacks too. Probably MVP of the game. We may not see his full potential this year with the Sophomore QB but he looks like a great prospect with excellent size and strength plus leaping ability and speed look great too.
