There was a lot going on on rows 12-14 seats 20-24.

And I'm not sure CP nicknames are allowed over here.

I didn't see you. I was looking. Ask Grant Carter, I even told him I thought you weren't in your seats.

104 sounds like a cult. Makes me happy I can anonymously move around nearby sections. ;)

You got beautiful weather, outside watching the greatest game on earth and your team needs your support...just gotta stand and be loud.

There are all kinds of problems with your logic. It assumes you have to stand to be loud and those that stand will be loud. Fans can be just as loud (if not louder) sitting and more than half the time those standing are just standing quietly with a beer in hand.

Again, not being critical I just don't understand it. To each their own.

Some can sit and cheer but for many the excitement is the reason for standing. As a former player one is used to standing for most of the game other than to catch your breath.

For instance, I have had Ponyte over to my house to watch an SMU game on TV. He never sits, but rather paces throughout the entire game. I do not sit by him at the games, but my guess is he never sits. So as you say, to each his own. If people want to sit, fine. But they should not be criticizing those who want to stand. And if you are behind one who stands I guess you stand also or move to a different location. And if you stand, I see no reason to criticize those who sit as long as they are supporting the team.

Standing up frees your diaphragm, so not only are you louder, you are louder for longer. Additionally, standing up serves as a visual cue to others who are less aware or more reserve that now is the time to break your hesitations and cheer loudly like this man. Third, it's slightly more polite than screaming at the top of your lungs at the back of someone's head.

I hear you, but as a 30+ year Chief's fan, I know you don't have to stand to have one of the loudest venues in all of sports. In nearly 20 years of attending games never once did I have someone standing in front of me, yet they're constantly breaking records for sound levels (and they don't play in a dome). Before you say, yeah but that's NFL, I could take this exact argument and apply it to Jerryworld. Perhaps it's a Texas thing?

Jerry world is the worst acoustical environment imaginable for creating noise or focused sound.

The Greeks and Romans knew what they were doing when they designed amphitheaters.

Also, above poster was correct. There is a very valid physiological reason opera singers stand to produce the most effective sound. Watch how an opera is staged. If they are lying down and singing it is a tremendous feat. That's why those that can get paid huge amounts to do it.
