Would be great if you could get some good painkillers to mix with alcohol Thursday night.

Why doesn't Davis ever throw it out of bounds?

Great question, either bad coaching, bad football smarts, or he's scared or possibly all three.

Could Navy put a 80pts on this D with zero pass attempts?

They could easily beat us with zero pass attempts again.

Navy will annihilate us and any team that has a decent run offense. Obviously things turned for us when ECU switch to the strong run game with the good running QB.

I can't remember an SMU player ever being ejected for targeting before.

we are likely going to see more targeting ejections; when guys go to put a hit on the ball and offensive player ducks preparing for contact, they are going to occur. Maybe not intentionally, but it is tough to take the physicality out of the game

We saw plenty of them in the Baylor game, he must have forgotten that they're in the playbook.

NCAA single game team rushing record is 768 yards (Oklahoma, 1988). Definitely at risk vs Navy

Also of note:
Rushing TDs in a single game: 12 (UTEP 1948, Coe 1971 (div 2), Concordia 1977 (div 3)

PoconoPony wrote:Appears to me that Davis is not making any reads and staring down his receiver. In this last quarter he has had many guys open in the middle of the field and never looks at them. I put a lot of concern on Davis for not doing many of the things necessary to be an effective QB. Reads are non-existent, fails to throw the ball away, not very accurate in his passing and out of sync. He did not improve his game today.

Sounds like vintage Matt Davis.
