CB Eric Sutton's Game performances

Postby Stallion » Mon Oct 05, 2015 4:37 pm

Looks to Sutton along with teammate Michael Clark opened up the log in to highlites. There are several new ones I haven't seen. These are labeled "Preseason" but I think he meant Non-District. Pretty outstanding quickness. Watch first highlite it looks like he blocks a FG -er no he gets a fumble recovery by taking the ball off the kicking tee before kicker could kick the ball. He really got there in a hurry. Weird

I know these are highlight plays. But, it looks like he gives good coverage - stays with his man. Boy do we need his speed and quickness on our field.

Eric Sutton in Cedar Hill's big 26-2 victory over rival DeSoto

Cedar Hill was shocked by Mansfield this week something like 45-43 but Eric Sutton has some great highlites-they are kind of disjointed-some are replays out of chronological order but I think he had 2 blocked kicks could be 3-they showed about 7 blocks but some are duplicates. One was run back for a TD. He has a great tackles at the line where he wrangles the receiver to the ground-also a nice pass deflected in corner of endzone where he blanketed his man throughout the route. . 4 Tackles and caused a fumble. Earlier in the year he almost took a kick out of the holders hands so he excels at this-so Special Teams alone could get Sutton on the field next year

With Eric Sutton I would not put him on just special teams. I would do what TCU did with Texada and start him at corner from game one.

I wouldn't be surprised if we started two freshman CBs by the end of 2016-with Mikial OnU being the other. Sutton is kind of light
