Herman calling this game a battle for Texas recruiting
Kind of fires first shot over the bow at Morris by taping the SMU jerseys to the floor. Looks like a heated rivalry not just a rivalry is developing.

All for it, but the jersey thing is weird. I don't get it. Can a young person explain?

"we're gonna walk all over SMU"?
note: I am not what some would consider 'young'

Not the message I would be trying to send.

This team scored a lot of points on Baylor and TCU quickly and is hungry to prove themself.

Now that is a kinder gentler message.

Setting an expectation that you are going to walk all over any opponent is dangerous.

Herman is apparently his own man. On the charters to games, he kicked the boosters out of first class and put the OL and DL up there so they would have more room.

Dabo protégé vs Urban protégé I guess. That said, Chad coached under Todd Graham before Dabo

I guess they should temper their expectations. But anyway, we'll see if that inspires them to play better against SMU. Their player's are saying that Herman told them this is an Ali vd Frazier battle because we are the only 2 team in Texas in the AAC.

I don't think it is saying they will stop us, they are saying they want to stomp us and that we are the enemy to be disrespected, like stomping on a flag

I would call this a battle over Texas recruiting if I were Herman too. We are down this year and they are in a position to win the AAC. Herman can get his licks in on us now and hope it sways a few recruiting battles this cycle and next and keep the talent gap between our programs. Once we catch up though, lookout
