My surgery used a newly patented tool invented by my surgeons father (also a surgeon) that clamped my leg in a position that allowed me to be on my back during the surgery rather than face down. First one to use it according to them. They said it was so completely severed it was like tearing a horses tail apart and having to connect it back together.
Hopefully even with 30 years of improvement in procedure and technology, K Cs was not as complex.

Any reactions to the ether?

What makes you think nlemchi is going to come back? Even if he did, he would not be competitive against these two backs for PT - in my opinion.
He tore an achiles in spring. That's not a career ender and he'd obviously be eligible for a medical redshirt if that was the process for maintaining his eligibility. According to reports he was very impressive in spring ball and is much bigger and stronger than west and jones..nlemchi runs like a horse, I seriously doubt two much smaller sophomore backs are going to keep him on the bench. He would have started and been very productive for years if not for June's genius
While I hope Nlemchi comes back and agree he has potential to compete, I don't think I would go as far as saying he "runs like a horse", really haven't seen much out of him the past few seasons he did play. Probably though Morris' system is a better fit for him as well though.

He looked like a good player who was mismanaged...yes I know that could be said of several June jones recruits. He has looked good in flashes so I'm envisioning that skill set he briefly showed on the field and from his highschool highlight tapes. If he comes back healthy I could see him performing very well in this offense, especially with improved depth and talent that will be there next season.

They are good backs no doubt and one more year in the weight room, etc, will do them good. But, to me, it's all about the OL. We are of course making some strong upgrades in this class with Kadarius, Todaro, etc. But they probably won't start right away (at least you don't want them to have to start right away), so who will replace Weeks and Lasecki (not that they are very good, but) and what's going on with Briggs? Haven't heard he's injured but also haven't seen him out there much. Is he performing that poorly? I don't see anyone else on the roster who's very good (maybe Evans, but everyone else just seems super soft to me). Maybe Wilds will be a stand out. Who knows.

Definitely fortunate to have Jones and West.

I actually ask my surgeon, who was a personal friend, to just deaden me from waist down so I could watch the surgery. He readily agreed and then snuck the anesthesiologist in to give me a shot of something that put me in a dream like state. They could talk to me and I could answer but could not focus on anything. It was about 3 hours of misery. Next time I do the full knockout. I do remember the ether from when I had my tonsils out around age 8.

Was that before or after humans discovered fire?

I pulled the play by play of the TCU game to get a comparison of the two. Here are all of their carries. This doesn't count catches, just carries. One stat that did pop out to me (if my math is correct, which is always a good quesiton), is that West averaged 6.6 yards on 1st and 10, while Jones averaged 3.9 yards. (sorry, I'm sure the format is going to suck).
Down/Dist Player Result Drive 1 1&10 West 3 2&7 West 4 1&10 West 2 1&2 Jones 2(TD) Drive 2 1 & 10 Jones 1 2&9 Jones -1 1&10 Jones 3 3&1 West 2 1&10 West 13 1&10 West 4 3&6 West 4 Drive 3 1&10 Jones 1 Drive 4 1&19 Jones 2 Drive 5 2&10 West 11 3&20 West 4 Drive 6 1&10 Jones 9 3&1 Jones 6 Drive 7 1&10 West 7 2&3 West 1 Halftime Drive 8 1&10 West 6 2&4 West 3 Drive 9 None Drive 10 1&6 Jones 5 Drive 11 1&10 Jones 2 Drive 12 None Drive 13 1&10 Jones 5 2&3 Jones 1 Drive 14 None
