We gave up 41 points a game last year. I don't see how you can say that.

Well, we are close to that this year and our offensive time of possession has to be averaging almost double what it did last year.

We have also played better teams and not gotten to the weaker part of our schedule.

4-14 on 3rd down vs. 8-11. 18-29 vs. 16-18 passing by Ward.

1989 Comeback Squad defense would put the 2015 defense to shame.
Back off Warchild seriously.

Salt in the wound. Houston's 16 play 8:38 td drive, was with 3 backup o-linemen.

Precisely. The current team has a couple dozen kids who's sole D1 offer was SMU, via June.

To be even more precise: The class of 2013 ( as I recollect ) had 9 kids offered who received absolutely no interest from any programs at any level let alone D1.

But the important question is if they were related to an old friend of Junes. Then it would be ok.

while our defense is a sore spot, we have to remember we have played 4 teams that have prolific offenses and have put up lots of points and yards against better teams than SMU. We had some positive moments last night and as far as individual performers who can help us rebuild this program, I like what I'm seeing from Lawler. He seems to be getting better week after week.

yeah - the only disappointing game for me so far was obviously James Madison - everything else is as expected. I think we will surprise someone here pretty soon.
