We have the worst defense in the country

The D is trying hard. Injuries and lack of depth are key issues this year on D. Overall, we lack speed. We are not deep enough to play hard the entire game in the front 7. Secondary needs better talent and or experience. There is no quick fix for talent. It has to be recruited and developed. Not all the players on D now are without talent. Many are young and will benefit significantly form the experience they are getting. It just will not be evident this year.

This team is playing hard. Overall need to improve talent, depth and experience to start seeing real results on D. If anyone one watches the really strong Ds, noticed the exceptional athletes in key positions. LBs with extraordinary closing speed. D linemen with quickness and speed. Bigger faster stronger secondary players. That kind of athleticism doesn't just happen, its recruited and developed.

Lack of accomplishment isn't because of lack of effort. Its a far deeper problem dating back several recruiting opportunities.
