I cant say specifically for Gonzaga, or UConn, but lots of teams send coaches over to Australia. There are too many high major prospects coming from there not to. Look at some of the other players from that U17 team, Isaac Humphries is at Kentucky, Deng Adel is at Louisville, and Dejan Vasiljevic has been offered by Louisville. Throw in some names like Jonah Bolden, Thon Maker, Dante Exum, and Ben SImmons, and you can see there is alot to see down under. Plus, all the top guys go to the same school, Australia Institute Of Sport is like a prep school that also serves as their olympic development program, so its easy to see all of them play at one time.

Gonzaga recruits a good number of international players, I wouldn't be surprised if they had a coach visiting Australia every year.
