The good thing is that I already expected to lose every game this season post-JMU.
The bad news is that this looks worse than any Phil Bennett team, including the one that went 0-12. It might take 2 more years to even be decent.

Your observation is right on. They continually take themselves out of most running plays and open up runs on passing plays.

The total lack of effort displayed on that punt and in this game is not indicative of a team whose sole issue is talent. Half the players seem to have no idea what they are doing on the field, and the other half seem to not care. Not a good combination.

all you guys that love this punter-that's what happens half the time he kicks the ball. The first guy kicks away from the returner averaged about 2 yards in punt returns. Ever since we'e gone back to Koonce we are getting about 30 yards in net punting against worse talent
