I've been pointing at 2018 in every post in the last year-focus on the kids we are recruiting on the Recruiting page because there are only hand full of kids in the Soph-Senior Class that are going to help us do much of anything

I'm really looking forward to what Morris is building. I just hate that we kept June around and let him burn everything down to the ground. Now watching this season and probably the next is a gut punch.

So if we are holding the staff to 2018:

2015 - 1 win
2016 - 3-4 wins
2017 - 4-6 wins
2018 - 7 wins????
Back off Warchild seriously.

sorry I meant 2017 for a Bowl-but the Defense is a year behind in the rebuilding process-in fact it has not even started on Defense. They aren't going to be decent on defense until 2018. Offense is going to have to outscore opponents like Baylor and TCU. I think we can win 7 games by 2017

I think 2017 could be 6-8 wins and 2018 could be 10 wins.

So, HCCM comes in and drops the hammer after the season. Separates the wheat from the chaff, drops dead weight and a bunch of players. What is the way forward? Can we take a bigger class? Do we have to take transfers to give scholarships to different classes? How do we fill up the spots?

I honestly would prefer a change at QB. Davis is not the answer...has regressed as the games go by.

Davis is one read and take off. Works great if the first read is open but after that its deer in the headlights. Just like last year.

Well, football sucks and is getting worse but futbol doesn't! SMU up 1-0 on USF. Hate all you want...try supporting sports that actually bring results also...it doesn't make you a bad football fan, just a good Mustang fan!

That as a miserable game to watch. How many turnovers? How many stupid and I mean stupid plays. Yeah, letups in a QB with 9 seconds left scrambles to run the clock out. That's not football, thats pure stupidity and folks want that running the O going forward? We can't make the straight forward basic football plays right now. Basic stuff! HCCM inherited far worse than anyone every thought possible. He not only needs talent but he needs players with at least a basic understanding of the game.

Pretty sure this mistake at the end of a lost game was far less stupid and had much less impact than that great QB playcall by Davis at the end of the 2nd quarter against Baylor.
