To your point - I thought that dropped punt would be the "moment" HCCM has been talking about. Didn't take the wind out of the sails like similar moments have in prior games. Those turnovers still cost us the game, but the team didn't give up after them

I liked seeing Morris get in the face of players on defense during a break and challenge them to not quit.

Praising not quitting is the lowest form of praise as quitting is the ultimate failure of sport
Like saying...at least they didn't lose 84-0

Well regardless, this was a much better performance in all phases overall.

I felt we had the opportunity to win so this was a step up. However, we are ~8 pts worse than vegas thought

Don't forget that this was Tulsa we were playing.

exactly; I bet we will look even better against Tulane...if we can survive Temple and Navy without any costly injuries

Ok, valid point.
Re: The Team Did Not Quit
Tulsa averages a lot of points per game. They just need to upgrade their defense.

Nice and all...but how sad is it that we are expressing joy that the team did not quit.

That is important because they looked like they quit last year.
However, the brightest spot is that virtually every aspect of the game was improved over the last few weeks. Even if the opponents are not as competitive as other teams, the improvement was obvious and should be embraced as a step in the right direction.

Most teams quit given the wrong circumstances. It's a fact. And it's a virtue that, with nearly everything bouncing the wrong way so far this season, this team shows no sign of quit. It's ok to acknowledge that.
