This doesn't make any sense. One missed field goal and a dropped punt makes this a D? Averaged almost 30 yards per kick return. 3 touchbacks on kickoffs. I dare say the Special Teams was the best unit out there.
I'll point out the missed field goal was 54 yards, into the wind, which would have been Hedlund's career long.

KR gets an A, but punt return gets an F. One fumble and one misjudged kick that cost us 20 yards. Missed a long field goal, but touchbacks on Kickoffs. I'd give it a C because of the punt returns.
I will be happy when the dead weight, "a lot of quit in em" guys graduate and leave and hopefully it doesn't infest the current freshmen and incoming class. I'm tired of hearing "they played hard" because many don't much of the time. I'm talking to you Yenga, Lasecki, and about 10 others. This group just doesn't know, and ultimately WANT to, win. I see that desire, though, in guys like Sutton and Xavier Jones. Hopefully, that will continue to grow especially on the defensive side next year.
My 4 wins prediction is out of the window now but I've also come to agree with Stallion: forget about wins/losses this year. Maybe next year we get 4 wins. Ugh. Then bowl year after.
Play calling became too predictable for much of the game. I know CM wants to establish the run, but we had far too many sequences where we ran on first and second down making little yardage then passing only on third down. Tulsa packed the box and defied us to pass.
I just watched the 3 pressers and now better understand why they simplified the play calling with the 1st and 2nd down run plays.
The bottom line is we need more time (and experience) to execute this new system coupled with a slew of fresh athletes.
I am happy that he said, "SMU is beating SMU," - he then of course mentioned the pick 6 and fumbled punt. They were the game changers. I need to be more patient, period.
