Others will know more,but I was very happy with what I saw...the freshmen looked great...full 2 hours...afterwards Larry took questions and offered some comments....the kids seem to be dealing with the ncaa issues,better than expected.....there have been some slight injury issues,but nothing significant..Larry says recruits are still interested...it was just a good practice,with no great surprises..

Gu did not practice, he hurt his knee and has had surgeries on it I believe.

Markus looks slim, Larry jokingly said he lost weight w/ the new s&c coach but MK walked by me after and it looks like he got after it in the offseason program

The mini scrimmages at the end were fun to watch and had a good competitive tone w/ the older guys challenging the younger ones

Markus DOES look lean in the pics I've seen and Nic looks like he's got a bit more upper body strength. Both very good signs. AS for Gu's injury(s)…they happen. It looks like we go 11 deep and are especially good at the position(s) he plays. We have to keep the bigs and Nic healthy. If the injury bug hits the 2-3 is where we are deepest.

It was a practice and it was not marketed like some type of midnight madness. They will be fine.

school! Not everybody of course... But my brother is swamped last week and this week with exams in the Business school. Had a huge test yesterday evening. I think will have a great/loud showing for the games!!

We don't have 7,000 season ticket holders but yes. The time of the practice made it difficult for many working people to get there. What was the excuse for the students? Oh that's right, it was just practice, and a 2 minute walk to Moody. I guess our students have a lot better things to do than watch our top 25 basketball team practice and check out our talented new freshmen, get free soda and popcorn and get to be involved in a Q&A with a basketball legend. But I'm pretty sure the five students there enjoyed it.
