Well, at least we're not at #1.

Blame goes to the Athletic Director and President Turner for this mess.....again. You can fault June for his lack of recruiting for several seasons and quitting on the team but the Administration did not have a back up plan in place when June tried to leave so we got stuck with him. The schedule has been very difficult too and way too difficult for our talent level - thanks AD. SMU is by far the smallest team on the field against everyone we play (and it is not even close). The attendance is awful and embarrassing but the alumni and students are expressing their voice by not showing up to games.

Why exactly is NTSTC only on the waiting list?

You automatically drop out for a week if you win. They will get back in next week

Get to the games and watch these young guys grow.... We are getting better and with more of Chad and staffs players coming in - the future is bright.

See you Friday afternoon as we tailgate on the Boulevard.

Not sure the future is that bright Bus. The AD continues to overschedule and our conference competition (Tulsa, Houston, Temple, Memphis, etc.) are making dedicated commitments to the football program and finds ways to gets recruits in school and keep them in school. I have seen this broken record play time and time again. I hope I am wrong but I, along with the thousands of other fans who quit coming to games, are very skeptical.

Well since you don't go I guess you really do not know what is going on. Memphis can beat Ole Miss, and Temple can beat Penn State, but we need to play lesser competition. We are smaller, slower, and less athletic and that is due to the lack of recruiting effort with the past crew. That has been rectified and things are improving but they will not improve overnight because we have a long way to make up.

Perhaps you can follow Hawaii where your buddy will be next.

June is not my buddy but he did take us to several bowl games and won them. He became disinterested here and wanted to leave. The AD and Pres. Turner did not have a plan in place and got stuck with June. It is the AD and Pres. Turner's fault we are in this mess just as much as June's fault. I go to games and expect much more out of SMU than what is being shown right now. I have high standards for this program. What is wrong with that and being honest about the situation?

I don't understand people who don't show up. As a run of the mill supporter of SMU football the only thing you can do to help this situation, other than donating what you can, is to show up at the games. We have to recruit well, and what kid wants to come here to play in front of the band and a few family members while there are 25K empty seats staring back at them? You may not like the AD, the University President, the chair of the History Department, or whatever, but if you support the program you have to at least show up so that someone thinking about playing for us will think that we give a damn.
