Yup. Why do they even bother releasing this before the final announcement? Clicks?

Look at the conversation and controversy even though everyone knows it will change dramatically before the end. This is why they start early and this is why it will stay at 4 teams.

Ten team conferences are awesome. Regional football. Home & home basketball. Everyone plays everyone. Big 12 right now is the only conference that has things right - but sadly, market forces and money has forced mega conferences on us and we will have to endure Nebraska versus Rutgers & South Carolina versus Texas A&M.
When we could all be watching Kansas and Iowa State.

You forgot TCU vs West Virginia. Hmmm I wonder why?
A Frog fan extolling the virtues of regional conferences with all of the conference moving they have done is laughable, especially given that TCU hasn't shared a conference with its most regional rival in well over a decade.

We've been in a conference with Baylor for a while now...

Fans are not required to agree with the decisions made by the teams/schools they support.

I agree, nor is there an inherent conflict between generally preferring a regional conference and still supporting moves to some pretty far-flung conferences simply because those are the best options open to your school.
