Sat last night at the 50 on the visitor's side with Temple alum and Channel 11 guy Jay Gormley. Good guy, very knowledgable about his Temple team. We were surrounded by other folks from Philly -- what an unusual group of human beings. So culturally different from Texans. Not bad, just different. Very vocal, very funny. Kind of interesting to see the other side of the tracks a little bit from a football cultural perspective. Many are in town for the Cowboys Philly game as well.

Lived in Philly for 5 years. One of the best lines a Philly sports writer wrote:" In Philly they would boo a funeral" so true. Infamously threw snow balls at Santa. FYI Philly is NOT NYC. different foods, accents. As different as OK is from TX.

You and ponyboy should travel more. Like outside the US.

Why would I travel when the center of the universe resides at the top of the steps of the capitol of the Great Republic of Texas?

We sat near a few Temple fans, and they were as nice as any visitors I've meet at Ford Stadium.
Go PONIES!

I was on the east side as well and a real distinction needs to be made. I agree, the Temple fans were some of the better visitors we have had... However, the Eagles fans down from Philadelphia who were as bad as advertised. As the Temple alumni astutely pointed out, "not only did these guys not graduate from Temple, they never made it out of high school.
The good news is that SMU should have made quite a pretty penny just off the beer sales to the Eagles fans in my row. Between the 8 of them, each of them had a minimum of 6 beers

Somehow the home side ran out of Bud Light in the third qtr. Also, how does a school in the Park Cities not accept Amex?

How much do those cups cost and are they recyclable? Curious. I've seen them at Mavs games and they work great.
