HCCM's team has not quit. Can't say that for JJ especially against NTSU.

JJ inherited a terrible team. He turned it around. We need CM to do the same but keep the trajectory. I think he can and I hope he will. The JJ bashing does nothing to help anyone accomplish what they need to and just shows our fanbase to be one dimensional. Life is more complex and there isn't always a lone gumman. If we don't learn from JJ's time here we won't have better success this time around.

SMU is +82 in the Sagarin ratings from June Jones last team

2014: No. 207
2015: No. 125

SMU actually has a better Sagarin rating than about 28 Division 1A teams-so about No. 101 out of 129. In 2014 SMU was second to last about 128 out of 129

Comparing the talent of this team to June's is opinion, but I don't think anyone in their right mind could argue against Chad's schedule. The schedule has been incredibly tough this year. June's first year was really painful. We were sooooo bad at QB. It makes anyone a lot more optimistic to see us be competent on offense and struggle on defense than to struggle in both aspects of the game.

You can see the lack of talent of the field so it is not opinion. You said June recruited mostly average AAC players and some above average AAC players and that has been proven false. We have mostly below average talent that is not very fast with a few above average players. Not to say they are not good hard working young men.

My point was that everyone was saying the exact same thing when June came in, because nobody thought DITR recruits like Sanders, Beasley, and Beachum would develop into NFL players.

LeRibeus was rated as a 3 star recruit and did pretty well and the center was on the Remington award watch list.. Bennett had given JJ a good offensive line to work with. When they all graduated things started to go downhill.

So you are going to take the one guy who was rated (who later quit because he was too fat and had to be persuaded to come back and get in shape) as the example across the phone line? I don't recall using him as an example.

Beach 2 stars, Brooks 2 stars, Tennyson 2 stars, McJunkin 2 stars, Turner 2 stars. And that is back when they gave stars away like candy.

You are redacting again. He did not quit because he was too fat. He changed majors and when he enrolled some of the other credits did not count so he had to sit out a year. It was a weird academic snafu. Also they were not giving out stars like candy during that time, it was about 2 years later according to Stallion. But at any rate you just proved that Bennett did a better job of recruiting under the radar players than JJ did.

I believe JJ himself admitted to the media that he had inherited an all c-USA offensive line. Not a bad base to build on at all

He's said a lot of things -- hard to take everything seriously. (see previous statements about being more talented than we've ever been, etc...)

Chad Morris won't admit it, but he didn't inherit an All-District 12-5A OL.
