I'm headed to DC this weekend and the game on Saturday. Staying in DC, but does anyone have any tips on getting out to Annapolis. Was planning on just grabbing an Uber out there but thought someone who has been might have a better option. I would prefer not to rent a car.
Thanks in advance.

To my knowledge renting a car is the best way to get there from DC

Agree that renting a car is probably best option. No good public transportation options and it's about 45 minutes plus depending on where in DC you are.

Thanks for the responses. Ended up renting a car so if anyone else is staying in DC and wants to share a ride just let me know.

As a Navy fan who has enjoyed previous games at SMU (great tailgate atmosphere!), we hope you enjoy Annapolis. I encourage you to walk around the grounds of the Academy Friday. If you are lucky enough to score a ticket to the Veterans Classic Friday night that would be quite a treat. The Veterans Classic is a basketball invitational that USNA hosts and this year it will feature #1 UNC vs. Temple and Florida vs. Navy.
On Saturday, wake up early and grab the best breakfast ever at Iron Rooster, or perhaps sleep in and turn it into a brunch. Either way Iron Rooster is truly one of a kind and in the heart of DTA (Downtown Annapolis).
If you choose the lunch option before the game there are plenty of great food options in DTA, but anticipate a decent crowd at all of them. Visit the small shops and enjoy the beautiful views of the Severn River.
Make it to the stadium early to enjoy the march-on of all 4000+ Midshipmen. This game is extra special as it is Senior Night and we will be sending off brightest in the best way we know, with honor and respect.
Here is to a great and injury free game!
Enjoy Annapolis!

Very cordial of you, NF4PS. It's hard not to root for the Midshipmen. Here's hoping Navy continues to win and the Mustangs eventually get to the top third of the standings.

I love Annapolis. It's the opposite of Lubbock. Annapolis is the great town surrounded by a [deleted] state.

Unfortunately there was an hour wait at the Iron Rooster by the time we got there, but we still enjoyed our time next door at Middleton Tavern and in DTA as a whole.

My brother in law, Class of 199x, sent me to http://chickandruths.com for dinner. Loved it. We had a great time and everyone was nice to us except the 8 year old kids who boo'd my family before the game. We will definitely make the trip again.
