If only it was true. We alumni at Texas State also have our on June Jones style cross to bear. I played at Texas State and my kids go to SMU. I've been blessed to follow 2 teams that have been brutal to watch. At least Chad Morris has begun to right the SMU ship.

Fran's true downfall started happening when he left TCU for Alabama Coaching job, and TCU was smart enough to offer Paterson, the DC on Fran's Staff at TCU. Loosing Paterson created a problem for Fran's future staffs at Alabama and beyond and as everybody knows Paterson has done a great job at TCU ever since. Also Fran at the time, desperately tried to keep Paterson on his future staff going to Alabama, would not recommend Paterson for the TCU job even though Paterson got it anyway I was told.
