give me a break. i'm the biggest JJ hater there is - but below D1AA average talent is pushing it. quit overestimating coaching and underestimating the talent

But if they are more talented, then why a drop off?

I don't disagree with you in principle.
That said, how many programs turned around from 56-0 at half and a school record points given up in a season?

This is looking hundred-years-storm bad

It won't be worse... Maybe as bad. But you can't be worse than this.

If nothing else I expect them to play with more fire... These guys are going through the motions.

It's Van Malone's fault they can't run fast.

As a fanbase we have GOT to stop being so myopic. There are MUCH broader problems with our football team and our athletics generally.

Specifically what can the administration do differently?

Bad coaching is going on here. They weren't the creme de la creme athletes but we didn't recruit the team ball boys either. They can run, reasonably fast; they do have arms which you can teach how to properly tackle, you can teach position/coverages/assignments/stunts/leverage/etc. I see no improvement and mostly what looks like lack of preparation. I'm not saying Van is not capable, but he didn't do much of a job this year and if I was Chad, I'd be mad because slightly better than bad defense would've won us some games.
