The most baffling thing with all you JJ haters is the reluctance to hold the AD accountable. From what you guys have to say we had the worst HC in football, he was just taking our money and flushing our program down the toilet. Why would ANYONE let that guy run the program, right? Of course he should have been fired.
Except he wasn't fired. Apparently we just sat back and took it in the shorts from the worst coach in football.
But that's not the AD's job.....
You do realize that the circumstances were more complicated than that, right? Maybe you should have stepped up and cut a check to buy out JJ.

Is that your way of saying that it was more complicated than just JJ being the problem?
And who set up the structure and okayed the contracts regarding JJ's employment? It all stops one place. SMU.

We ALL know the answers to these questions-you obviously didn't have a Rivals/Scout subscription at the Time. Our present AD handled the situation extremely well despite the lack of alumni willing to buy June out-they had bankrolled his salary so SMU was put in a bind. I'd give our AD an A+ on handling June and he did hold June accountable in recruiting setting up a series of demeaning standards because he was about to fire his [deleted]. You don't know much about what has been going on in this program
"With a quarter of a tank of gas, we can get everything we need right here in DFW." -SMU Head Coach Chad Morris
When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.
Too much to ask...make the starters stand in the end zone and make the rest of the team run suicides for about 20 minutes. Every 5 minutes, have the runners so and say "thank you for your leadership and effort" in unison to the starters. Need to beat the [deleted] out of them now...won't have to cut to many because they will quit.

You can demean me all you want, I make up my own mind, thanks. SMU athletics has one of the worst football programs in the country and the BBall is banned from post season for academic fraud. Feel free to excuse all of that because you know what's really going on. I choose to hold people accountable. Decisions made in the past have brought us to where we are. Some of those decisions involve the insertion of private wealthy individuals into the equation for the purposes of providing funding. There are inherent problems with this, but probably a necessity under the circumstances. However it is clear that there was no exit plan (but this is America, there'never an exit plan) and we are reaping the rewards.
You can dress it up how you like, you know so much and are entitled to interpret your knowledge as you wish. I will continue to see this as a pitifully and arrogantly run athletic department and nothing that I have learned from you (or rivals or scout) leads me to change my opinion.
