Tiger J

Congratulations on the win. As a native Memphian and someone who attended the U of M I'm proud of the Tigers this year. Hope they can keep Lynch as QB.

But as a fellow fan I'd be careful about mouthing of too much. The tigers are one Larry Porter hire away from struggling again.

Best of luck in the bowl. Any chance the Liberty offers a bid?

I've got a legit point. Do you think a school having one of their best seasons ever is worthy of a P5 invite if you only draw 5,000 to your final home game? I know the weather was bad but 5,000?? That's terrible. And yes, I know our attendance sucks but we've won three games in two years.

If Chad can actually 'run off' some of our non-performers, he will be the first coach in 21 years allowed to do so... we really don't get it! As long as classrooms work and off field problems are kept in check we won't permit it.

Fuente must have been feeling really good about his decision after looking up at that crowd. A couple of losses and everyone just disappeared.

As SMU fans, should we criticize attendance?

No we shouldn't because ours is about as embarrassing as it gets (glass houses and all that) but some of us still do anyway. That Memphis crowd today was definitely worthy of some harsh criticism.

Not true. June was able to run off a bunch of players.

Nothing mexmustang says is true. It's like he bends facts or fabricates them to fit his June apologist narrative. Stallion has called him out more than once IIRC

June Jones ran off 10 players in one year and about 3 of them got their scholarships back from the university based on a finding that there was no legitimate basis for cutting them. Don't believe anything Mexmustang says he is obvious a bitter old man.

There are also plenty of ways to get players to leave the program without just cutting them. I witnessed many leaving just because they could not take the "extra work" put upon them.

Such as, perhaps, walking back to Dallas from Memphis
