Official Game 4: SMU vs. Brown

I'll take a win without Nic and Ben over anyone and not complain. We got really nice games from KF and Jarrey. Both played really well.

Well that was weird and exciting at the same time because of:
1. Keeeth got his grove on-much better form on his shot
2. Jarray-Wow so exciting-he launched assists on about 3 of those jams too
3. Shake handled the point well for first time 6 assists-1 Turnover

yea their Basketball IQ is so much higher than you'd expect from freshman

there were some positives even though disappointing margin. 26 assists on 29 baskets. Excellent Big boys missed so many cheapies in 2nd half-not too worried about that

folks - this was Brown. 1-4 Brown. This was not a good outing for our team. THey were in the game in the last 2 minutes. We had trouble finishing inside. Inconsistent outside shooting. Lots of traps, which we never see with Nic in the game.

We had them at height and athleticism at every position for the entire game, and never had them put away. Not good. Jank should worry.

They were never really in it the second half. We should have played better defense, but still they never had a chance in the second half.

Best thing I saw was when Barefield made that soft cross court pass and got taken out of the game with his head down, Nic move whoever was sitting next to him and sat down. He put his arm around him and starting talking to him right away. Really speaks well of Nic being the leader and helping the kids on the team get better.

There was so really great assists today. MK, SM, and KF all had some great passes to cutting players and nit just for ally oops.

If you're freaking out after that game you're clueless. Brown was never in it second half and the true frosh looked excellent for their fourth ever college game.

I couldn't watch and probably won't until Tuesday but Shake being thrust into a starting role and Jarrey stepping up like that? C'mon!!

not freaking out - just not excited about looking average at home against the 7th best ivy league team.

I guarantee you the team is not high five-ing in the locker room because they made some nice passes against short slow guys.

Maybe I'm Mr Sunshine but I didn't think we played that poorly. Brown shot out of their mind from three (made 15). Not one time did I think we were in any danger. The biggest thing I took away from the game is the play of the freshmen. Jarrey and Shake were fantastic and Sed is coming along. Also, KF shot the ball very well. My only complaint with him is he's got to start shooting the open three more. He turned down several again today.
