Freshman looked great, but I agree. We were sloppy at times against a subpar team. I don't know if it was overconfidence or lack of motivation, but this could have been a much more polished outing.

Jank is still trying to figure out this team.

We had seven players and a walk on. Jank played ultra conservative. Tonight was exactly what was planned. A win. Zero worries.

I agree...should have hazed them for being the nerds they are. At least we got 2 W's. I sure hope Nic is back for TCU and Ben get's squared away with the coaching staff soon. Really want to beat the Frogs this week.

On a related note, Yale were beaten by 34 by Albany today.... Doesn't speak well of the quality of our opposition.

I thought our frost did a great job and I loved seeing Keith do such a mature and excellent job. Work to do but we have the makings of a good team.

Does it matter since the team cannot go to the NCAA tourney?

The reality is that if you have a couple of hot three point shooters you will always have a chance against SMU.

Encouraging win considering no Nic and our frosh are playing above their paper so far.
Back off Warchild seriously.

Encouraging win? Vs 6th place Ivy League? We were watching different games apparently

Liked the work of the freshmen on offense. We are getting beat off the dribble, helping on the weak side to protect the bigs and leaving players wide open for three. Missing Ryan defensively. So far we are making up for it offensively. I think the team defense will get a lot better as the season goes on. Right now there are some mind games after all the fouls that were called in the first game.

We've been pretty average the last two outings, definitely cause for some concern. As much as I love Shake/Jarrey/Sed, I don't feel like our depth is nearly as polished as in the past. Don't get me wrong, incredible frosh class, I just feel like we miss experience and defensive intensity. We really could have used a healthy Gu. We're also not hitting the glass as a team in the way we should, especially out of the zone.

Agreed. Not encouraging at all. Rather uninspiring, actually. But do watch Jank's press conference after the game and tell me you don't feel a little better. And in the pregame radio interview, coach said that this game kept him up at night. Kind of a perfect storm. I consider this game one data point.

It's a given that we'd most likely beat Brown 9.5 times for every ten times we played them.

But down TWO starters and one of them a needed big. Two of our guys playing their fourth collegiate game, one starting for the first time at point. Another frosh getting his first real collegiate burn.

This happens.... Just be glad it was Brown and not Michigan or even A New Hampshire or Kent State.

Was Nic sitting out "calculated rest" or is the finger more serious than previously thought?

Hopefully the Ben thing gets sorted out quickly.

Without him we are exposed until Semi time.
