Davis had us at 24 last week. The few I've seen have us at the same ranking or higher. I can see us moving up to 22-23.

Now only 7 left who do not rank SMU (including Dickie Vitale). One thing they all seem to have in common is no love for the AAC as they all rate Cin and UCOnn pretty low as well.

Chris Murray was so impressed by our big win over Brown that he put the Mustangs in at #18 after not including them in last week's top 25...

Geez Louise. What do you want? We've only played four games - at Stanford, home against the Ivy League favorite and home against a SHS team that won 27 games last year. It's next to impossible to get a P5 school to come to Moody. We still have Michigan and Gonzaga in OOC.

Our schedule IS weak compared to many of the other in the 15-25 range.
Teams like UCONN, the Aggies, and others have had major tests at tourneys where they've had to face majorly regarded teams on consecutive nights. Some have not met the challenge (UCONN, Wichita State, LSU). Others (Syracuse, Cincy) have.

This matters little for us this year as we'll have no post season. OOC for us is almost meaningless but for the fact that we need to get in the habit of seeking major tests early like any other quality program.

With no postseason - THIS is our tournament. You are watching our Tourney right now - we just beat SHSU in Rd 1, Stanford in Rd 2, Yale...Brown. Up next TCU and Michigan. This is how the players see it. Their goal is to win every game. You could say that is every team's goal - but you could also say that this goal is an actual possibility with this team. Outside of @UCONN and @Cin, they could be favored in every game that they play in from here on out.

Do I think it will happen...no. But enjoy it while it lasts. These games are certainly not meaningless.

I would actually rather go 30-0 with no-post season than 29-6 with a loss in the sweet 16.

Don't know how many people view Massey Ratings, but they put down the schedule and it seems after a TCU win we pretty much have clear sailings.

1. Don't put much stock in computer rankings this early in the season

2. Sagarin for basketball is almost completely meaningless
